Done, cheers!

Our Telegraph Stools are made out of decommissioned timber power poles sourced from across Australia. Handmade and individually unique, these stools are suitable for use as a stool or side table, inside and out.

By hand, we use a chainsaw to split each segment of log to form two stools in order to minimise timber waste during production. We then blacken the surface of each stool to increase its durability before finishing using a natural hardwax oil.

As two stools are cut from one log they are sold as a matched pair and can stack. Alternatively you can purchase a single stool.

Please note, as the stools are solid hardwood they are heavy. We recommend them for use as stools in stationary locations, or for use as a table or bedside table.

At any given time there are over 6 million telegraph poles in use across Australia. Every year 200,000 of these are replaced due to ‘ground line failure’ where a small section of the pole becomes waterlogged. The rest of the pole is reusable however 80% of these are currently scraped due to a lack of recycling incentive. Our telegraph poles are made from an untreated species of hardwood sourced by our supplier Kennedy’s Timbers.
