A material research project to create a range of earth construction materials from a singular site soil. Funding for the project came from Soil Science Australia who also provided scientists to help us analyse our local clays.

Our studio undertook prototyping 10 different building components from this one soil profile, with the most successful of each shown at Pop Gallery, Woolloongabba. Included were roof tiles, fired brick, tiles, pavers, lightweight cladding tiles, pottery experiments, mud brick, compressed earth block and naturally dyed cotton.
