ARUP WORKPLACE (Coming Soon)

FMR is currently working as materials consultants for Hassell Studio and Arup on the design of Arup’s new workplace in Brisbane’s CBD. This project showcases a forward-thinking approach to material use, blending sustainable practices with cultural storytelling.

Our work involves assessing opportunities to reuse existing site materials, reducing waste while celebrating its Brisbane location.  We are advising on locally sourced recycled materials to align with Hassell’s concept design, sourcing reclaimed materials, and prototyping solutions that integrate seamlessly into the workplace. To support the project's circular ambitions, we are providing detailing advice to ensure future disassembly, while also developing material hierarchies based on global best practices to prioritise sustainability and practicality.

Collaborating with Blaklash Creative, we are translating cultural themes into a cohesive material language, and partnering with Kim Baber to explore undervalued timbers, showcasing their beauty and versatility. This project reflects a deep commitment to sustainability, culture, and innovation, setting a benchmark for workplace design.

FMR is currently working as material specialists, collaborating with primary consultants on a range of projects. For more information or to request our capability statement, please get in touch.
