The Scrap Sheet Planter is fabricated from salvaged galvanised steel sheet, reworked into a durable planter for indoor and outdoor use. Each piece is made in Brisbane using surplus and off-cut steel sourced from local industrial supply chains.

This hardworking material is highly durable, corrosion resistant, and designed for long-term external use. Rather than discarding sheets due to offcut sizing, oversupply, or minor visual imperfections, the material is reworked into robust architectural planters.

Sheets are used in their existing dimensions wherever possible, then rolled and joined to form the planter. This approach minimises further processing and generates almost no additional material waste. Each unit carries the markings, variation, and surface character of its source material.

The planter is designed in two sizes to fit a standard 400 or 500mm diameter planting bucket, allowing for easy replacement and compatibility with widely available products from hardware stores and garden centres. Alternatively, the planter can be filled directly for in-ground applications.

The steel is fully galvanised and suitable for external use. Over time, the surface will soften and develop a natural patina.
