What We're Proud Of: Small Studio, Big Impact

We don’t usually stop to celebrate — but 2024 gave us a few good reasons to pause and take stock.

This year, our work was recognised across industry, government and community settings. From heritage breweries to corporate HQs, we’ve continued to explore how low-carbon materials and place-based design can lead to thoughtful, lasting outcomes.

We’re proud to have delivered projects that not only worked for our clients but helped move the dial on sustainability, circularity and design storytelling.

Some moments that stood out:

  • 2024 Sustainability Awards – Winner in both Hospitality and Adaptive Reuse for our work on Matso’s Sunshine Coast Brewery.

  • Lord Mayor’s Women in Business Grant – Awarded for leadership in sustainable business.

  • 20 + public talks and panels – Including Design Speaks at the State Library of Queensland, and ongoing education with UQ and QUT.

  • Over 50 tonnes of construction waste diverted – Including 52 tonnes of salvaged concrete, 40 telegraph poles, and 1,100 linear metres of hardwood.

  • 200% increase in revenue from circular furniture – With collections fabricated from site-specific demolition waste for projects like Dexus Waterfront Brisbane.

  • Trusted by leading collaborators – Including Arup, Hassell, Hutchinson Builders, and more.

  • Appointed to UQ Architecture School Advisory Panel – Supporting curriculum development in sustainable design.

Beyond the awards and numbers, the real win is seeing circular thinking become more embedded in commercial and civic projects. Clients are coming to us not just for aesthetics, but for intention — for design that reflects who they are, where they are, and what they stand for.

We’re still a small team — but the impact is growing. And we’re grateful for every collaborator, fabricator, client and site that made this work possible.

If you're looking to build something that goes beyond the usual, we’d love to hear about it.
